Hello everyone! I’m Callie Anderson, a cybersecurity enthusiast eager to transition into the cybersecurity field. Here’s a glimpse into my journey so far.

Originally from a small town in northern Minnesota, I ventured into various career paths before finding my calling in military and civilian law enforcement. After completing my A.A. degree, I pursued a bachelor’s at St. Cloud State University, where I explored diverse interests ranging from physical therapy to firefighting. Eventually, the strong pull to serve led me to enlist in the United States Army National Guard as a Military Police Officer.

Following rigorous training and a tour in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, my interest in law enforcement intensified. I joined the St. Louis Park Police Department, where I honed essential skills in communication, teamwork, and leadership during my tenure as a patrol officer.

My deployment to Erbil, Iraq, provided a pivotal moment of realization—I discovered a passion for IT and cybersecurity while observing the adjacent IT office’s operations. Intrigued, I embarked on further education, completing the Google IT Technical Support Certificate program and subsequently enrolling in a cybersecurity program at the University of Minnesota.

Now, armed with a diverse skill set cultivated over eight years of military and civilian service, I am eager to leverage my experiences in the dynamic world of cybersecurity. Hungry to learn and contribute, I am committed to making a meaningful impact in cybersecurity teams.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about my journey. I invite you to reach out if you’d like to connect further.
